Exporting a Support Request (Desktop)

What it is: A way to send your client file to the Draftworx support team directly from within the application so they can investigate and fix an issue for you.

What it's for

When you encounter a problem that requires hands-on assistance from Draftworx support, you can export ("book out") the client file to them from inside the application. The file is locked while it is with support so changes are not accidentally made before it is returned.

How to do it

Send the Support Request

  1. Inside the client file, click the Draftworx Icon in the ribbon.
  2. Go to Support Request and select Email Support Request.
  3. Type a description of your issue and click Book Out Support.
  4. Click OK to confirm.

Important: Do not make any changes to this client file after submitting the support request — it must stay as-is for the support team to work on.

While the File Is with Support

  1. If you need to open the file while it is being reviewed, you can open it as Read Only, or choose Cancel the Support Request to take it back.

Tip: Support is available Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00 CAT. Allow 30 minutes to 4 hours for a response and the returned file.
